The plot of Mare Fuori
The series is based on the stories of some kids from juvenile prison of Naples, in particular it focuses on the history of Philip Ferrari, a young man from the wealthy Milanese society, whose promising life is destroyed due to a tragic mistake that leads to the death of a close friend of his.
Later, Filippo finds himself having to face the trauma of entering a hostile and totally foreign prison environment. Here, he meets his fellow prisoners, including Carmine Di Salvo, the son of a racketeer who aspires to an honest life outside of crime; Cyrus, an active member of the Camorra, and then Toto, Edoardo, Pino, Gianni and Milos, each with their own story and experiences of guilt or remorse.
Inside the prison, i power games take place by exploiting the differences between the detainees, and soon Philip realizes that his privileged past doesn't make him different from the others. While he tries to to survive in a hostile environment, Filippo will have to learn to better understand himself and others, discovering his own inner strength and the courage to face the challenges that life presents him.
